Our little brown mutt thinks he's huge. He mostly looks like a chocolate lab puppy, so it's hard for him to convince others of this fact, regardless of how much he tries to tell them. This collar does it and he always gets compliments on it. It's almost too big for him, but we put it on the smaller notches on the buckle and it's stiff enough not to slip over his ears (he can back out of other collars, but not this one). It has worn in well over the years (2 I think) and still looks hilarious....I mean tough. Very sturdy, stiff leather and would work well for a large dog as well. Also nice that it has a real buckle (very sturdy silver color and has not tarnished at all) and not an adjustable loop as we has an issue with our other dog dragging him around by his collar and then getting it stuck on her jaw and almost strangling him. That's another reason we like this collar--it's not webbed to get snagged on sticks or anything. Rounded studs look good, but aren't sharp when he decides to snuggle. Great collar.
