I bought this collar at local pet store, but was thinking about how much I love it and decided to write a review to help out anyone else considering getting this collar. I also added a couple photos.
My dog was a rescue and as a 5 year old, he had never worn a collar. Comfort was important to us. I decided to purchase this collar because it is so much softer than leather and the nylon ones are gross and cheap feeling.
The back side of the plastic clasp says "Not For Tieout". My dog is a 10lb yorkie that is pretty timid and doesn't (can't) pull hard on it. I do hook him to a tieout to go the bathroom. The clasp is sturdy and I have no concern of it coming loose. I mention this because another review said theirs broke. Either the model has changed, or they got a bum clasp. Mine is real secure. Then again- if it is not meant for a tieout, then it should not be used for walking them on a leash. These are considered "break away collars" and that is a benefit when the animal is caught up and being choked. The clasp would release before choking the dog. If the threat of the collar breaking away bothers you, get a buckle or metal clasp.
I have washed the collar by hand and it cleans up nice. The photo I added was of the collar "dirty" so it would look even better if I washed it.
The red is not an annoying bright red. I have it on a boy dog, but it would look excellent on a girl also. I am not real thrilled with the olive or indigo blue collars. They just lack luster. The pink is nice, but I am sure my boy dog would get made fun of at the dog park. I would love to see them offered in black, kelly green, or royal blue. Maybe even step it up and get some pattern ribbon sewn on them. I love these as a basic collar, but the fun collars are so appealing too!
Check out the product at a local store if you want to feel the quality, but the price online is cheaper!

I don't ever write reviews, but this one seems necessary. Last summer I bought the New Earth collar. While wearing this collar, my dog was playing with another dog. That dogs tooth got stuck in the clasp, and the collar began choking my dog out, I thought she was going to pass out. I just thought it was a fluke accident, until this morning. Found that New Earth collar yesterday & put it on my dog. This morning my dogs were playing and the collar somehow got wrapped around the other dogs lower jaw & they were stuck, and once again, my dog was being choked out. I can only chalk it up to this collar, as it has NEVER happened with another collar. Thank god I was at home when both episodes happened, or I don't think my dog would have made it. Do Not Buy!!!!

We purchased this collar at a local pet store and liked the colors and overall quality of a textile collar over leather or plastic types.
Until a year and half later while walking our dog, he tugged and the plastic clasp broke at the plastic to web collar D-ring portion releasing our dog free.
Fortunately he is well enough trained but in a situation when you leave your pet on a chain or unexpected excitement it fails could be catastrophic.
Note to the manufacturer, please upgrade the clasp to a more sturdy plastic.
