This is an excellent collar. New Earth is the 3rd collar I have purchased for my cats and is by far my favorite. The collar is very soft and flexible and my cats have taken to it very well. The breakaway clasp functions well and the collar is easily adjusted. Best of all its made from earth friendly materials! Definitely give this one a try.

...I hate the bell. The collar is quality and is cute on the kitty. The bell is cheap. I'm much rather have a choice of bells. I removed this bell for another that I have. The break-away seems a bit stronger than I would have thought, but I do believe it would breakaway should the kitty be caught.

My cat hates other collars so much. I always remove the bell, which was easy to do with this one as well, just using a letter opener to bend the metal without breaking it. She tried to lick this collar off for about 2 minutes and then decided to leave it alone. No doubt this is because of how flexible and soft the soy material is. I could not be happier with it. With her tendency to dart for the door, it makes me feel a lot better about her possibly getting out. This is the first collar she has worn in 3 years and it only took her a few hours to get used to it. Every other collar comes off within 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this for picky felines. The fibers are getting a bit stringy, but that doesn't surprise (or bother) me, considering how soft they are.

I had a very hard time finding a cranberry colored cat collar for my cat Oliver during the holidays. I didn't want a red or green one. This collar color was perfect, and he can wear it after the holidays too.
Only thing is he claws the collar when he scratches, and I wish it wouldn't have stray fibers sticking out of it. I wish it had some type of protection for that.
