I just wanted a simple, neutral colored, functional, lasting collar for kitten. Which is what this was for about two months, after which it broke. The plastic ring that held the safety collar closed became compressed, causing the collar to fall off with the very slightest resistance (we're talking the cat rolls over means the clasp comes undone). I found this surprising, since the collar seemed to hold fast pretty well up until it just stopped working. It stayed on from the moment I put it on kitten until the moment it broke. Which would have been the mark of a great collar if the timeline between those two events had been a little longer. Inexpensive and "earth friendly" are both rendered moot if I have to replace it every two months. Overall, disappointed.

Do your cat a favor and buy this collar. I love these collars. I get different colors for my cats. They are natural and super soft.
I tried a supposedly eco friendly collar and it turns out it was recycled pop cans. Avoid the eco friendly collars from Petmate and buy this one.
The colors are a bit different than what is shown. The real colors are more colorful and darker than what is shown but that is a good thing because the real colors are better looking, in my opinion.
This is the first collar that my female cat has left alone. She chewed on her other ones. As for the people who complain about breakaways...some cats are determined to get collars off; it isn't the collars, it's the cats.
I did remove the bell because it seems like having a dinging every time you move would drive your cat and you crazy. Have fun playing with your cats!

My kitten wasn't hard on this collar, it's just cheaply made. I liked the look and the color (I got the natural, oatmeal color). But the snap snapped in two by the third day. I won't buy anything from this company again.
