5Great buy!Aug 01, 2009

I bought these to refill my bone-shaped Bags on Board dispenser. I'm not sure what kind of dispenser J.L. has, but these work great for me. The bags are the same size as the name-brand ones, and they've held up well for picking up messes from my 50 and 60 lb labs. I haven't experienced any rips or tears. My only recommendation for improvement would be to mark where the tear line is between the bags. It is difficult to see, but I will continue to purchase these in bulk.

2Good enough for the priceFeb 26, 2010

One of the best prices I have found, and it is nice to be able to order in quantity. As well, these fit in two different types of dispensers we use. Two drawbacks - (1)it is hard to see where to tear the bags and have found that if I am not careful in the tearing, the bags can shred (two different occasions), and (2) I have experienced leakage from the bags three times (as gross as it sounds) when the bags were not immediately discarded after pickup (ie when I had to carry them on the dogwalk for more than a block to the nearest dumpster). If it had just happened once, I would have called it a fluke, but I now carry them held out away from me and the dogs. These are useful for just yard pick-ups, but I will not order them again for our city walking.

2Bags fail half the time.Sep 15, 2010

These fingerless mittens don't keep my hands warm at all.. Oh, you mean these aren't fingerless mittens? They're poop bags? Why would I want to use a poop bag that opens at both ends? Beware if you get these for poop. Half of them are defective, and if I didn't pay attention, the poop would fall right out... Euwww!

4Serves its purposeSep 15, 2010

So these bag rolls are perforated, kind of like toilet paper. And they are almost as thin. Sticking your hand in this bag for the first time will not exude confidence. They are transparent, slightly thinner than the recycled grocery bags that the larger grocery chains are using. I hope they are at least that strong.

The rolls are surprisingly small. 960 9"x12" bags barely filled an Amazon 1A1 box (the small 9"X12"x4" box you might get if you ordered, say, four DVDs). You can feel "Green" about bagging doggie "Brown" in these biodegradable bags (unless you live in CallyFornia).

My Nora is just a 20lb pup, but we feed her protein-rich food. So far, so good. These bags pick up her 1.5C "brownies" with no failures yet, even when she has the runs. You feel the warmth, but the stinky squishy stays inside the bag! The only other bag I've used are the thicker, slightly smaller BioBags. The BioBags felt more secure, but I have had some "escapees" exit out of the weird tie holes in the top of the bag. You lose about an inch of length and width with the BioBags, and anyone who has picked up poop knows every inch counts!

All that being said, I would rather use the smaller, but thicker BioBags because they are thicker and supposedly "Greener." But c'mon! Whatever you use is eventually going in the trash! While I would personally rather wipe my a** with a dollar than a quarter, it just doesn't make sense in this case.

BioBags are about 14cents a bag.
These bags are about 3.5cents a bag.

I'll stand by these thin cheapies until they give me a reason not to.

UPDATE: +1 star. Nora is now 75lbs and we are still using these bags. The only problem we've had are with the stickers that seal the rolls like some have mentioned. If you aren't careful pulling it off, you can perforate several bags in the roll. Other than that they are great!
