Doesn't look much, worked like a charm and then someFeb 02, 2007
By G. Lee This brush may not look much at first, but the effectiveness cannot be overstated. I have a long hair husky that we brushed regularly and didn't think much of it until I got this brush. Even without the knot cutter (the long bladed edge), the rake itself is so functional that the first day we removed another bucket hair that we didn't even know was there. I am an online shopaholic, and she said this is the best $10 I spent!

Finally a Brush that works!Jun 18, 2007

I have a German shepherd/Irish setter mix. This a big dog! A walking hair ball. Long have I wanted any excuse to take him to the pound. Hair everywhere. I honestly didn't figure he would shed this much. We brushed, brushed and brushed. Sadly he continued to look like a matted hair ball. The Vet and dog groomers said I would have to learn to live with it. My doctor put me on allergy pills and urged me to get rid of the dog. Kidd is a loyal companion and I just don't have the heart. Now this brush works! Dang if he don't look like a showdog! Bags of hair were removed and he loved it! You can see the difference. Now I'll have to learn to live with my allergy and my dog. Less hair, more dog; Happy owner, Happy dog. PS My local pet store had nothing like this in stock. THE UPDATE: Two weeks later there is actually less hair on the furniture! Less hair on the dog. I usually refuse to pet him before I go to work. (dog Hair). Now he gets a pat on the head and some sweet talk.

Awesome & easy to use brush!Apr 29, 2007
By Anya Budinsky Just as many of the reviews on here state this is a great brush for any dog with long hair or an under coat. I used this on my cairn terrier and my cairn terrier mix and it worked so well. Both of them hate being brushed and this did the trick quickly. I was amazed at the amount of hair that came off of them. Even now a couple weeks later I can tell the difference in their hair. This brush made the job easy and quick.

Bamboo Dog-Grooming Tool with Undercoat and Dematting RakesJul 12, 2007
By Mack Chen This is the best tool you can ever purchase for a pet that's shedding. It saved me a alot of $$ too compared to the furminator, this one is alot more reasonable priced. After using this on my siberian husky I could tell the difference right away. I love this tool, should of bought it alot time ago.

DANGEROUS, now I'm afraid to use it on my poor dogOct 17, 2007

The rake type design is great, but the ends of these blades are EXTREMELY sharp. I was brushing the front coat of my Sheltie and the brush came out and hit my arm and put several deep holes in my arm. It didn't even hit my arm that hard. Now I scared to think of how it must feel on the poor dog if it reaches the skin and I scrap it along, and I'm using the short end of this flipping blade (you push one side of the blade down and the other side pops up. One side is short and one side much longer). If you buy this tool, you must be very careful how you use it. The smallest mistake could cause very bad cutting to the animal and you.
