Excellent Indoor/Outdoor play yardApr 27, 2010
By A. Allen Although there was a color change involved due to the burgundy play yard being out of stock, I received the teal play yard promptly. In fact I was in such dire need I emailed to see if I could upgrade my shipping to receive it more quickly and two days later I had it. The product was exactly if not better than how it appeared. It is one of the better purchases that I have ever made. Although the picture does not indicate that the play yard has a bottom, it indeed does as well as two little neat zip open doors with velcro to fold them up out of the way. The zip around top mesh is excellent when taking it outdoors and wanting to keep the puppies safe. I am thrilled with my purchase.

Good but faultyJul 22, 2010
By Yorkiepoo owner I absolutely loved the look and portability of the playpen. However, the design sucks. I have had it for 3 weeks and the puppy (yorkie poo) was able to split the zipper for one of the "doors" and has escaped out of the pen on numerous occasions. Come on, a 9 week old Yorkie Poo can escape from this thing??? I think the material is pulled to tight, thus making the zipper more vulnerable to splitting. I have had to put duck tape over the opening and that makes it tacky and extremely ugly! I guess the search continues for a better playpen while my money has been completely wasted!

Just what I was looking forApr 07, 2010
By Nydia L. White This is better than I was expecting. I was a little skeptical when I ordered this that it wouldn't be what I wanted. But it seems to be very well constructed and will suit my purposes well. I am using it as a playpen for foster kittens. When they are very little it will help to keep them from wandering off and getting under furniture, but with the top left open Mama cat can easily jump in and out when she wants a break. This pen is relatively easy to clean - a must in animal rescue. I can even take it outside and scrub it and hose it off if necessary. Small spots are easy to clean with a washcloth. I love how light it is and how easy it is to store. I have been using a segmented plastic playpen system, and while it does fold flat for storage, it is cumbersome to deal with. This pop-up unit can actually be set up in seconds. Just open it up....that's all the set up needed. I work in animal rescue and many times want to take kittens to an off-site event and this is an easy solution to the problem of how to show them at events. This unit is self-contained, sets up easily, and is easy to clean. The kittens can be seen from all angles and with the top attached it prevents the kittens from climbing out, as well as prevents people from reaching in to pick them up. I don't think I would keep older kittens in this unit -- I would worry that they might tear the mesh. I may try it for short times but I would certainly never leave them unattended. It is very easy to set up, but pay attention when you open it up to help when you need to fold it away. Because there are many panels, folding it to stow it can be challenging. You have to get the panels aligned just right, and even then it can be tricky to get it back into the handy storage/carrying pouch. Don't throw away the instructions. You will need them.

Best ExPen EverDec 21, 2009

This is a great xpen! We have a Scottish terrier puppy, and it works wonderfully. We have put both him and his mother in the pen together, and they had lots of space. It's very light weight (under 5 pounds), so we take it with us every time we travel. It also takes about 10 sec to set up or break down. We have a power chewer and a digger and he hasn't poked/chewed one hole in the xpen. I would most diffidently get this again.
When we have the pen set up our puppy, and the older dogs (2 full grown Scottish terriers) ask to have to door open. They love to go nap in the pen, and hid toys there.
If you own a small dog, you will love this.

UPDATE: got immediate refund! (re: Big disappointment -- wish I'd believed the reviews)Dec 20, 2011
By M. Burns UPDATE from my previous review: I emailed the manufacturer, explaining the problem, and they issued an immediate, no questions asked refund. Great customer service! Now hopefully they'll fix the problem for future shipments, because if it weren't for the zippers it would be fantastic.
Same problem that everyone else is having with the zippers. But it's not the dog's fault -- we always used this when we were in the room, so the dog never chewed on it or pawed at it. They're just lousy zippers, and once they're broken then the whole thing is useless.
I've emailed the manufacturer. If they respond I'll post another review and let you know what they say.
