I read two reviews before purchasing this unit which indicated that the only problem both had was that their dog was able to chew through the zipper in a rather short time. But, looking at the prices of other brands, and imagining their structure as best we could from photos, I decided to chance the zipper issue (they all had zippers anyway) since I liked this design. I'm happy I did--even though our puppy DID chew through a zipper! There are two doors with zippers, so I simply taped that one shut with matching Gorilla Tape. On the other door, I now prevented this from happening again: The manufacturer put two zippers on each track of each door (think of a suitcase that can zip from either end). This costs more for the manufacturer, but allows the customer to open only the bottom portion, if so desired (I don't see the necessity of an open pen, but so be it). I simply raised both zipper heads to the top of the pen and bingo! The dog can't reach the zipper head, which it needs to gnaw at for quite a while to break it. The product comes with zipper-on, strong net-topping to fully enclose, which might be useful against hawks if the unit is left outside (though not a good idea to leave unattended). To prevent jumping out, however, it's not really needed since the top sports an inward lip (that can't be "landed on"), like a prison fence, that makes it geometrically impossible to jump over for small dogs, even high jumpers. The flooring is durable and so easy to clean up. Two can be placed together (we bought a second) with doors opened to produce a "train car" effect (just tie a simple cord around the top of the two). Great value and serves its "babysitting," comfortable containment purpose well.

We bought this for a visiting Morkie. It's a great size, could fit a larger dog (medium). My Shiba Inu's loved to go in there as well. It was so easy to set up. Comes with a rectangular carry case that is good for traveling but a little too awkward for airline travel. Also comes with a mesh cover that zips into the top of the pen if the dog is a jumper. We were able to put a potty pad and dog dishes in there with room for the dog to move around easily. The sides unzip for the dog to be able to walk in and out during the day. Just a lot of nice features and the price was so much less than the others I found online and in stores.

I love the idea of having my new puppy in a play pen when I cannot monitor his every move. The play pen idea is a great one, BUT I received a damaged item from this company. I have written them about 6 times with one response basically saying to send my amazon info. to them. Still no word back. I doubt I will hear from them and get my money back or new playpen.
The pen was used and had blue, what looked like ink, all over it. The zippers were broken as well. This could have been a serious threat to my 6 week old puppy!
If you come across a problem similar to mine, do not expect any type of response or reimbursement.

My girlfriend has a dog that is older and sometimes wets on the floor. We wanted to bring the dog with us, to our vacation cottage, so we wouldnt have to bother family or friends to watch her. We bought the dog playpen and it is great. The dog is a chihuahua so she is small but the pen contained her and gave her enough room to walk around yet still enough area to place a training pad for her to wet on. The pen has a liquidproof bottom in case the dog misses the pad. It has a zippered top to keep pets in yet it's tall enough that her dog couldnt get out and we didnt need to zip it. I put my cat in it to test it at home, and he seemed to like it too and plenty large enough for him (he's bigger than the dog, Maine coone about 16 pounds) The pen folds up to the size of one of the panels and only a couple inches thick, small enough to slip behind a couch or even under a couch.

This is a nice play pen for my little yorkshire terrier. I actually ordered one, and then ordered a second one after I realized that it was a pretty good product. I bought two to leave them at two different locations (my place and her dog sitter's place - easier than lugging one back and forth.) It fits her bed, her water/food bowl, toys, and a pee pee pad if needed. I think you could probably put 2-3 extra-small dogs in here comfortably, or maybe 2 standard small dogs in here comfortably.
It's nice that it has two door entrances - that can be rolled up and velcroed up. It also comes with a zippered top - so it can be left completely open, partially open, or completely closed - and this gives us humans nice access to reach in and pick them up.
When you get it - it smells very plasticky and packaged -- just be sure to give it a few days to air out!!! It really bothered me, but it didn't seem to bother my dog after I threw some of her toys in there and her blanket. She jumped right in and plopped herself down for an hour or so to take a quick nap before coming out.
It does come folded up nicely in a little bag, however after you open it - it is not so easy to fold it up and squish it back in there so nicely. That takes a little huffing and puffing. I don't intend on traveling with it too much so luckily I won't have to keep pulling it in and out of this bag.
It also comes with some stakes if you want to stake this to the ground outdoors - but I have no comment on this since I never intend to do that.
My only disappointment (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) was that one of the playpens that I got had a few black marks on the beige/tan part of it...I assume from packaging and processing or something. Since it is a brand new product, I would prefer that it would look pristine and clean as opposed to scuffed up already.
