Best dry dog food ever!Nov 02, 2009
By Mauricia A. Proper We have two Schnoodles, and their little tummies are pretty particular. Chef Michael's Filet Mignon Dog Food absolutely delights their little palates (I actually had to pull them away from their bowls their first few times eating!), and, the best part of all, no more tummy upsets! Well, we have an occasional loud burp right after eating because we've made such piggies of ourselves, but no more grumbling, rumbling tummies, and no more picky eating because they just don't like it. We've finally found a winner with Chef Michael's!!!

My dog loves this food.Jan 09, 2010
By Staci L. Szczypkowski My dog loves this food, The meat pieces are soft and chewy with the green bean and potato accents for crunch. I like the price through monthly ship program.

I know it has some questionable ingredients, but this is the only thing that fixed my dog's rash.Nov 16, 2010
By Karen Baker
"city mama"
My 4yo Dalmatian mix was suffering with an awful red scaly rash on his belly, and after trying many, many other foods, topical creams and lifestyle changes with no success, I tried this food in a "what the heck, it can't hurt" mood. Within a few days his rash was nearly gone, with no new spots. I thought it was a coincidence, since it's clear from the ingredients that this is really just the standard mega-factory meat-byproduct diet in fancy packaging. Then we tried his other food again because I had the flu and just could not get to the store that sells Chef Michael's, and within 24 hours he had new red raw spots. So, back to Chef Michael's for us! I know the dog food review sites trash this stuff, but I'm not quite sure what's so terrible about meat byproducts and soybeans anyway (my dog would eat out of the cat's litter box if I let him), and it's working for my dog. Plus, he LOVES it, can't get enough.
*Update, Feb 2011* I noticed that my dog seemed hungry all the time on this food. I think the high percentage of soy protein, while not a negative necessarily, is just not ideal for dogs and doesn't fill them up like meat. So I fed him a bit more than I had of the other foods, and he ended up packing on some pounds. I know, dogs beg and act hungry all the time, but he really, truly was hungry! So I'm now trying foods with a higher meat content, but considering coming back to Chef Michael's and supplementing with some ground beef or turkey or eggs cooked at home. I still think this food is a good option and a good value, and would recommend it.

Please look past cute commercialsJan 30, 2012
By V. Antonjuk I've seen the commercial, some mystery chef cutting up chicken breast while his dog drools, then he sets down a bowl of kibble for him. Why not feed the actual meat? because there certainly isnt any in this food
Keep in mind that when a fresh meat is listed on the ingredient label its not true. The manufacturer lists ingredients based on weight prior to extrusion(cooking), since meat is 80% water, once cooked, it goes way down the list. So you are primarily feeding a ton of soy mixed in with mystery meat and a bunch of other cheap ingredients leftover from human food production like byproducts, wheat and corn. Also soy is responsive for hormonal disruption, so you may want to read up on that.
this food is cleverly marketed junk thats very low quality, you can check the unbiased review yourself on dog food advisor website.

dog refuses to eat the green bitsOct 29, 2011
By Katherine my dog refuses to eat the green parts of this kibble mixture..
he will take a mouthful, spit it out on the floor and eat around the green ones. by the time he is done eating there is nothing but green bits. and i tried putting them in his bowl and waiting to see if he would eat it. 3 days he wouldnt eat a single piece of that green kibble. instead he decided to punish us by eating a loaf of bread that he got off the table.
so no i wont buy this again.. dont get me wrong, he love love loves the meaty bits, but the green bits dont get eaten and just result in a huge mess on the floor that needs to be swept up. not worth the extra money with a third of it not being eaten and the extra work of cleaning it up.
