 Great Product, a MUST HAVENov 06, 2006

The Turbo Twist unit is well worth the money. I had quite a few parasites that kept coming back and each time I had to spend the money on medicines to rid of them. It got to be a real pain in the butt. With other UV sterilizers on the market and not sure which one to purchase, I took a gamble and bought the Turbo Twist. I have had the unit about 2 years now and can't think of a time since then that I have had problems with diseases or parasites. The product does what it is intended to do. You must have the appropriate water flow from your filter in order for it to work properly though. I have mine installed on my canister filter and it works excellent. It also comes with a nice bracket system so that you can either use the suction cups or screw it into your aquarium stand. I simply screwed the bracket into my aquarium cabinet on the inside so that it is not visible. I also installed quick-disconnects on each end so that I can clean the unit easily without having to dismantle the entire filtration setup. I hope this information helps your decision-making. I highly recommend!!!

Great product, well worth the money. Set up is quick and painless, minor plumbing (tubing) modifications needed to make it work with my Eheim Ecco filter. My Corals look very happy and I am too.

I tried all sorts of chemicals to clear up the green water in my tank (72 gallons), but none of them worked. So I bought this and a day later everything was crystal clear. Wonderful product.

Great product! After driving around to 3 marine supply stores and not finding the diameter hose we needed, we decided to go with a smaller hose and force it on the connections. No the easiest thing in the world.... but after being connected and running for 2 months, our saltwater reef tank is crystal clear and has about 90% less hair algae in it. This product definitely delivers on what it claims it will accomplish!

This product is ok. The UV sterilizer light itself does a great job. The water looks a lot clearer than when I had the 9W UV light installed.
The downside to this is that you have to be creative to match the connections to your canister filter. I am an engineer myself so I quickly got it done. But I can see the challenge that it may impose on the average aquarists out there.
What I did to find the solution to non-matching hose connections.
1. Do not go to pet stores thinking you will find what you need for the hose connections. Go to a hardware store!
2. Take your hose connectors from your canister and your UV enclosure. Play around on the Plumbing Section with PVC plumbing pieces until you find the right things that you need. This varies depending on the canister or water filtration system that you have.
3. Seal the connections with the appropiate "glue" to prevent water leaks.
The product comes with hose adapters but one is too big and one is too small so they are useless or were to me. Other than that, it does what it was meant to do and until the company provides more adapters with different diameter, until then, I can see people rating this 5 stars. But not now, too much time spent trying to find the right things for your system.
