I have 1 dog that would bark at everything. I have received complaints from my neighbors about my dogs barking all the time. I decided to try this collar and I was very satisfied will the results. I can't believe how well it works and it's very easy to use.

Very effective and uses a standard camera batteryNov 22, 2011

I bought this collar to replace a PetSafe bark collar that ATE batteries. This thing has kept my dog quiet. My neighbors are much happier, and so am I. My one caution is this collar is sensitive. If the dog flops it's ears it will beep, if they keep flopping their ears it will shock them.
Now that being said, my dog had figured out that she had one good bark before the PetSafe collar would correct. Well she has no such ability now.
She is a very quiet puppy. I love my dog, but her chronic barking was getting the best of everyone. For all those people who say "it's a behavior problem or living condition", I keep her with another dog. I always have two dogs since they're very social creatures. She's never alone and has more than 1/2 acres to run around in untethered (radio fence). I also bring them in every afternoon, and let them out every morning. They sleep in the room where I sleep because that's what makes them happy.
There ARE situations where are bark collar is needed. A bark crazy redbone hound is one such case. The other dog, a lovable mutt with no breed title, ever barks; unless there's a good honest dog reason. The redbone barks when the wind changes direction.

Maybe my dog's hair is too long, but he barks with the collar on. He barks LESS, but just as loudly.

I purchased this item and never got around to using it until about 10 days ago. I tried to get it to work, my son tried, no luck. Since I'd had it over 30 days I didn't bother to try and return it but I'd never buy from this seller again. The collar itself was very difficult to turn on and off and at first I thought that was the problem. But, it just doesn't work.

I thought this was the most amazing thing ever I had got for my puppy. She stopped barking at everything right away. It worked great camping and everywhere we took her. And for several months we haven't had to use it. I had turned it off to save the battery. Well for whatever reason she decided to start barking in the middle of the night...So one night I got up turned it on...And she stopped for the night. Well I decided to take her for a ride...All the sudden she started just yelping and was dancing all over the car...Well something went wrong cause it wouldn't turn off...I even got a shock of a life when I went to take it off her. SO just be careful.
