Bought this after many disappointing beds from various stores. I ordered the XL for my 85 lb. yellow lab. She has ample room. I probably could have ordered a L and been okay. The color is great and her hair does not show. It has stayed plump and she has no desire to chew it, unlike the poly filled ones I have bought. I haven't washed it yet as it has not needed it. My dog loves this bed. It has kept her from the furniture.

This bed stays clean and does not show hair. It always smells new, and our dog loves it. Stays plump too and she can't snag or tear the fabric. What is this stuff? It's great!

I bought three of these in April 2010 and they held up just great -- not a single hole or tear in two years! That's amazing considering that my two Weimaraners have in the past destroyed most dog beds in just a few days.
I ordered more of these same beds in April 2012 (identical according to the Amazon page, which said "you ordered this item in April 2010"), but when it arrived, it was similar to the originals, but not the same. My first clue was that the color was "off". The 2010 beds really were khaki and were a heavier fabric. The 2012 beds were more of a "peachy" color and must also be a thinner, less durable fabric, because within a week they had holes in them and one of them was torn to shreds. Same dogs; not the same beds.
In the past, I recommended these beds. I don't any more.

I recently purchased three new dog beds from Amazon and this is one of them. My small Havanese of 15 pounds immediately got on and laid down on this bed and made himself at home. My 20 pound girl Havanese late went on it and enjoyed it. Seems line a no-nonsense bed, plain in style, comfortable, as described.
