I ordered the medium Durapet Slow Feed Bowl and it's much larger than I expected. It would be helpful if the description included the quantity of food the dish holds to assist people in ordering the correct size for their pet. The medium has a big enough open area that it didn't slow down my golden retriever at all. Her nose can easily fit into the dish and she gobbles up her food just as quickly as with a regular dish. I ended up ordering her a smaller, ceramic dish with more obstacles and it has worked a little better.

Product performs as advertised, my dog basically inhaled his food and sometimes even choked because he was eating so fast! This bowl probably doubled the time it takes him to eat the same amount as before. What I really like is the stainless steel that was actually cheaper compared to plastic bowls and those can be chewed to pieces. I have ceramic tile floors and the non-skid bottom is great!

Our German Shepherd mix would eat so fast that she'd vomit solid, undigested kibble. This bowl slowed her down enough that she actually had to chew, rather than inhale, her food. She was still able to get every last bit of food (including anything that may have fallen out of the bowl), but it definitely slowed her down.

My 4 year old Golden Retriever inhaled his food before I discovered the Durapet Bowl. Using the Durapet now takes him twice as long to eat his meals. It is ideal for dogs like retrievers, shepards & other dogs with longer noses. It might be a bit difficult for a Pug type dog with a wide snout, but worth the try. The Durapet is also very well made & the price is quite resonable.

Great dog bowl-slows feeding down, durable and cleans well-what more to say. It is not plastic-that rocks! It is still holding up after several months-even with a lab puppy. Worth it!
