FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!Oct 07, 2009

I love these bowls! I have three dogs: two West Highland Terriers and a Scottish Terrier. They all eat too fast. My newest Westie (4 months old) eats REALLY FAST! I bought these bowls to slow down their eating. They work really well on the two older dogs. The puppy has a small enough head & mouth area that he can still eat pretty fast, but it has slowed him down some. I am sure as he grows, he will be slowed down even futher. These bowls are very good quality. They are a nice, heavy stainless steel with a rubber pad around the bottom to prevent slipping on smooth surfaces. They wash up beautifully! I am very happy with these bowls & they were reasonably priced.

Too big for small dogsMar 24, 2010
By SML I bought this for my mini dachshund hoping it would aid in slowing down her eating. Small bowl? It is way too big and she gobbles up her food even faster. The hump in the middle doesn't fade her. Looking for a new bowl. This one did not do the job.

at first this did slow down how our dog ate, but then she adapted to it and ate just as quickly as before.

Slow down there doggy!Jan 18, 2009
By nevea 2 be We bought one of these hopping to see if it would help to slow our dog down from eating so fast and for the most part it does. We picked up the smallest one and our puppy now at 18 weeks does tend to eat slower with this bowl, she doesn't eat as slow as we wished she did but it did do it's part in slower her down when compared to a regular food dish. We think as she grows and her head gets bigger it will help in aiding her to eat slower since she wont be able to grab as much of her food at once.
The bottom line is this does work by slowing down the amount of food that she can consume at once, but the true measure in getting a dog to slow down is to teach them to chew their food, is there a product out there that does that? We recommend this bowl.
