1Avoid This Heater At Any CostAug 16, 2009
By J. Ellis "John"
The heater worked fine for 3 days. Then overnight it got stuck on and the temperature in my 29g tank was 95F. The $10 heater cost me $400 in coral and a new beautiful flame angel I had for about 3 weeks. I had the heater in the suction cup holders and it had not been bumped or damaged. This is a horrible product and should not be on the market to kill other people's livestock. I had just bought $150 in new coral, also. DON'T BUY THIS THERMOMETER!!!! BTW it is a crock of poo that Amazon makes us put a star on the product no matter how bad it is.

4Get the Job doneApr 08, 2010
By E. Steward
The heater is really good for my 39gal tank and actually I think it would be capable of heating a larger tank cause it can get my tank to 90 degrees no problem probably can go higher. I keep my tank at 80 though. The only bad thing is I have to fill my tank to the top to cover the water line of the heater and I like to leave my tank 2 inches of room. Also the glass is frail so be extra careful with it. Lastly the cord is short and I have to use extension cord to plug it in. Hope this info helps!

3Great Priced Aquarium HeaterJan 31, 2010
By D. Filosa
The price was great and it works flawlessly. The only gripe I have about it is that the mounting device requires it so sit over the lip of the aquarium making it impossible for me to keep the water level at the required fill line on the heater. Still keeps the temperature in the tank at a wonderful 79 degrees but I do wish it could be lowered further into the tank.

1DangerousFeb 28, 2012
By Shane
I bought this at pet supplies for cheap, so I didn't expect it to be top notch being bought cheap but didn't expect it to be as bad as it was.The dial to adjust the temperature is awful, you can't tell how high or low you have it, the first night I had it I checked my 55 gallon the next morning after installing it, the temperature had to be at least 95 degrees, I don't know how my oscar, pleco, and upside down cat survived.

Problem number two was that water can enter it way too easily, not sure how but water was in mine and its never been fully submerged. This can be a major fire hazard.

Save your money and get a different heater.

1Fried my fish!Feb 10, 2012
By Jeremy Storly
I had a 10-gallon tank with some beautiful mollies. I just had to house them for one day before they could be added to a 55-gallon tank. This heater couldn't even handle the task for one day. Overnight, it unexpectedly overheated and fried my fish. Don't be cheap: if you care about your fish, invest in a decent submersible heater with a reliable thermostat. When it comes to aquarium heaters, you really do get what you pay for. Unfortunately, I had to learn this the hard way.
