"Turtle man"
For a couple of years I have been struggling to keep my 29 gallon turtle tank clean. Nothing seemed to work. I tried a whole bunch of filters. Then I got a 405 filter. It still could not keep the tank clean. I brought clearmax and put one tray of ceramic rings into the other tray of ceramic rings and put the clearmax in the leftover tray and put it on the bottom of the filter with the two trays of carbon on top and put the ceramic rings on top and it still didn't keep the tank clean. But when I brought the fluval polishing pad, I put them on top and soon the tank was very clean. I would highly recomend this product.

I purchased this thinking it might help reduce my algae load which it did not. I suppose it helps the water quality minutely but nothing obvious to me. The green machine UV pump I purchased made the biggest difference in water quality to me. I'm not convinced this polishing pad does all that much quite frankly.

when I saw this, i doubted about the functionality.
as i cleaned my 306 for the first time, I witnessed the amount of 'stuff' that this pad was holding underneath the carbon bag.
i washed this pad and dirty water just kept coming out from it. ever since I switched to 306 the water in my tank has been crystal clear.
now I'm not sure how much of that is due to this pad, but i'm sure that this pad helps to filter out the small particles from the water that passes through the filter.
i'm stocking this up for my next filter cleanup.

I have a Fluval 305 for my 55 gal fish tank and I was not happy with water clarity, so I bought this water polishing pad. After installing two pads in my filter for two days, the water is significantly clearer. I hope this pad last long so I don't have buy the replacement soon.
