FRONTLINE Plus stops and prevents infestations and kills adult fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae. This effective flea treatment prevents all flea stages (eggs, larvae, pupae) from developing and kills fleas that may cause flea allergy dermatitis. Frontline flea and tick treatment also kills all stages of deer ticks (which may carry Lyme disease), brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, and lone star ticks, while preventing and controlling re-infestations. Ticks are more than a nuisance- in some cases, they may transmit serious diseases to your dog or even to you. To kill ticks that may carry and transmit these serious diseases, count on the control of FRONTLINE Plus.FRONTLINE Plus For Dogs contains fipronil and the insect growth regulator (IGR) (S)-methoprene. Insect growth regulators interrupt or inhibit the life cycle of a pest. Flea eggs and flea larvae that are exposed to (IGR) (S)-methoprene will never develop into the adult jumping, biting and (most important) reproducing fleas. FRONTLINE flea and tick treatment effectively targets all stages of fleas and ticks. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in effective tick and flea control for long-lasting activity against fleas and ticks.FRONTLINE Plus for Dogs is waterproof, since the active ingredient in FRONTLINE products is stored in the oil glands within the skin, from which it is continuously released onto dogs' fur, FRONTLINE flea and tick treatment remains truly waterproof for 30 days or longer. FRONTLINE is so gentle it is approved for use on puppies 8 weeks or older. It is also approved for breeding, pregnant and lactating dogs. For best flea control and effective tick control, apply FRONTLINE Plus monthly throughout the year. FRONT | | | Features: | |

Great PriceDec 05, 2010
By Amanda Fix This product is exactly the same product that I have purchased from my vet and the pet store. The only difference is it is much cheaper. I have two dogs and this product works exactly as it says it does. There are no fleas for 1 month...sometimes even longer.

A luscious and deliciously viscous solution to everyone's unfortunate tiny vermin problem, yes! If you have even a slight aversion to fleas, ticks, and everyday pests picked up from regular grass frolicking this is your lucky day!!! A simple squeeze and yes, you too can clean house. Simply fabulous.

Mixed Results for This ProductJan 12, 2012
By Ms Winston When I initially started using Frontline Plus on my dog a few years ago it seemed to work for more than a couple of weeks. Either the groomer or I would bathe her and wait at least one day prior to applying the product to make sure her coat was totally dry. For two or three years she was virtually flea-free for at least three weeks out of four. Unfortunately, over time I might as well have put water on her back, as the product stopped killing the fleas after the first few days. We even flea bombed the house and followed up with spraying the carpet and furniture on the chance that we had a flea infestation. Even after the bombing, Frontline Plus continued to give results that I found unacceptable, so I switched to another product. My vet indicated that several clients had the same complaint about Frontline, so it may be that it works well with some animals and not with others, or it stops working for some over time. If it works for you, buying it through Amazon is a bargain, as it is half the cost of buying it through your vet, even adding in shipping costs.

It works!Jun 27, 2008
By TeeMan Don't really have much to say - my dog doesn't have fleas or ticks so it looks like its working. I also like that the effectiveness of each dose is up to 3 months for fleas, Advantix is only a month so this will go further if you're in an urban area without ticks. It is a little runnier than Advantix but once its under the fur, its only a problem for a few hours (we run around in the park for that time).

By Sims My dog was seriously infested with fleas. I put frontline on here and in less than a week she was flea free! I couldn't believe it. The only bad part was that her stool became slightly runny... but she did not become ill or anything. Otherwise, great product!
