pH too high!!!Mar 02, 2012
By Soninja The back of the bottle says it "preferentially buffers at pH 7.8, but can manage any pH between 7.2 & 7.8." My pH shot up to 8.2 from 7.3 after 1 tablespoon of this in my 15 gal tank! What's up with that? The Goldfish Aquarium Board recommends a pH of 7.5 so now I'm worried, although I know pH too high is better than pH too low and my fish seem fine. Still, the product seems a bit extreme, but I've really liked other stuff Seachem has made.. so.. maybe I got a bad batch?
