Couldn't live without this collar.Mar 09, 2011
By Tyngsboro Mass I have used other collars to walk my two rottweilers, and I have never found anything that works as well as this collar does! Looks scary, I'll admit, but when used correctly, and fitted properly, the dog controls the comfort zone of this collar. Sitting loosly around the neck, with a little tension, the dog knows its limits before he stops putting pressure. The only con, if you don't fit it right, and its too tight, this is cruel and not fair to the dog...Bottom line, get one a little larger than your dogs neck, and it does the job!

Great Value Great QualityJan 21, 2011
By DrRottweiler This prong collar was exactly what I expected, with identical size and quality to much more expensive versions. Plus it was shipped very quickly. I still can't believe the price, and I half expected it to be poorly made or somehow not what the product described, but it's the real deal!

good, but....Jul 07, 2010

the collar is good; had to take the black plastic nobs off, as my dog didn't respond w/ them on. The reason why I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is..... it stains my dog's neck. His neck turned grey/black after 2 or 3 times of wearing it. I have a white dog... so people who have brown, golden, black etc dogs wouldn't notice it. But my Golden Doodle is snow white, so I really noticed the discoloration. Now Kairo has to wear a bandana under the collar. But the collar certainly is a good reminder for him, to walk w/ me, instead of taking me for a walk!

Good training device!Feb 03, 2011
By Chem Doctor I ordered this collar for my Golden Retriever puppy. He had a tendency for pulling extremely hard while we were taking our walks with a regular collar. I have heard bad things about these "pinch collars" but I decided to give it a try anyways. The first walk we tried with this collar on and he walked like a dream! He doesn't yelp or cry, he just walks right beside me! I don't use this collar all the time, just when we are going on walks. He even gets excited when I take it out of the closet! It really is a good training collar!

Does it job perfectly.Jun 16, 2011
By paul My 7 month old Lab mix is a very dominate type of puppy. I didn't realize this until it was too late and the behaviors of a dominate dog started to set in. Going on walks with him wasn't very pleasant, but not bad either. He would pull and tug at his pleasure and walk in front of me, pulling me as we went. Well i tried training him to walk properly but honestly i didn't put too much effort into it, and that is my own shortcomings.
I was reading a puppy training book and decided to get this collar. It works fine. The size i got was the medium i believe, which was way too big. i nearly had to remove all but 3 prongs to get it to fit on the dog correctly. First time we went for a walk it was a pleasant one. He's no longer pulling at his own accord and is very well tempered. He still tries to walk ahead of me, but we're working on that. I also had him wear the collar whenever my nieces came to visit. He behaved around them with it on, with it off he would tug at their clothes.
The only con is that the collar discolors his fur, leaving a darkened stain. Maybe its the metal coating that's leaving the black residue?
