 Great DesignMay 22, 2010
I love the design of these pumps. I have purchased many of these for my tanks. This one in paticular could be a little more powerful.

Not a bad price for what it does..but i would only recommend this pump for tanks no bigger than 29 gallons..

Compact and versatile. Low wattage so does not raise tank temperature. Optional magnet holder (included) eliminates noise against glass tank. Magnets are coated with thin plastic, so no rusting as previous generation product. There are newer models with different GPH and improved pivoting spec. Check your options before you order.

I have it in my 21 gallons nano tank and it's producing a lot of current. It's totaly silent and the holding mecanism is fantastic. I just wish there would be a bit more range in adjusting the pump direction because. It is well built. I have read that some people cut off the bars in front of the impeller to create more flow but for my 21 gallons it's more than enough so no modification for me.

I have 2 of these in my 20-long reef tank. One broke after about a year, the other one is still going. It's a great product for all the reasons other reviewers have stated. But a 1-year lifespan is pathetic. 5 stars for functionality, 1 star for quality.
