This has to be the best betta fish food I have ever got for my fish. When I got my betta fish I bought him some random betta food from the pet store but he hated it. the pellets were way to big so he would never touch them. I bought this food a long time ago with my first betta fish and he loved it as well. That same betta fish lived to be about 4 years old and even survived a car drive all the way from Nevada to Ohio when we moved. I decided since my last betta loved this food so much and lived such a long healthy life that I would give it another try. My current betta fish is much happier now. I've never seen him eat all the food I put in his tank so fast before. He's swimming around more and his color is a bright red now. I highly recommend this betta fish food especially if you have a picky eater :)

I recently recieved this product for my betta fish. It was delivered on time and the package the food comes in can fold to make the package stand up. The only difficult thing about this product is when you pour some food into your hand and get too much, it is really difficult getting it back in the package. But my betta enjoys this kind of food. I have tried other pellets and he wouldn't even touch them, so I reccomend these pellets to all betta fish owners.

I use to use wardley betta food which also came in pellets but were larger and a darker brown color. Hikari pellets are slightly smaller and are more red, so its different in content compared to wardley. I do not notice any particular difference in behavior, color, etc. when I made the switch over. My fish gobbled the other ones the same way, not sure if they have a preference since they eat flakes, pellets, bloodworms without discerning tastes. I take off stars because of the awful packaging. I don't understand why make it like that and not a tube or canister. what if you get too much? put them back into the package, as you can see, is quite difficult. they just roll out, too difficult to control. it folds up into a little stand so its upright, but i knock it over by accident and pellets fall out everywhere. there is no lid or anything. trust me, it may be clever, just not practical.

My beta loves it. gulps it right up and it's not too big for his mouth to swallow. Perfect size and taste!

My betta isn't a fan. She'll eventually eat them, but only after spitting them back a couple of times. Although Zoe also doesn't like bloodworms so maybe she's just picky. I'm going to go with a different brand next time. I'm sure the nutrition is fine, but I want her to like her food more!
