Good quality fish food.Oct 01, 2011

I've used hikari gold for years and have always been happy with the results. The fish have always taken right to it and I've never had issues with cloudy water from leftovers. I do believe it helps to bring out the colors in the fish by contributing to keeping them happy and healthy. If you choose to buy it I hope you have results as good as I have had and thanks for taking the time to read my review.

This is standard Fish Food, used it for years, if your are new to the hobby then this is a good product if you are not new to the hobby then you already know...

I didn't think that my fish would go for these mini pellets, being that they are the floating type. But I was wrong. They can't get enough of these! I feed my fish a variety of foods, and with the floating pellets, some fish eat those, and some eat the food that sinks to the bottom of the tank. A++++

My African Cichlids love Hikari Gold, but only problem is I need to presoak it to make pellets sink. The pellets are 3-4mm and are not suitable for cichlids less than 1 inch. But if you presoak it for few minutes and a gentle squeeze and all the fish can devour.
This might work very well if your fish are greedy and swim upto top to gobble, for others need the pre-soaking and crushing. Will try the sinking pellets (Hikari Gold) next time.
