I use this in combination with Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold Plus, Hikari Cichlid Gold Sinking, and Zoo Med Spirulina. (Not all at once) This size is actually a little smaller than the mini of the gold version, so my smaller juvie yellow labs can actually put them in their mouth. All my fish are eating them, then again, my fish are not picky, they eat everything I've tried with them from fresh blanched veggies to this stuff. I've never really tried giving them "lower quality" foods, so I'm still pretty satisfied with this brand! I added the Excel to my routine just to make sure they're not getting too much protein from the others. All fish other than fry/babies only get fed once a day.

I feed my cichlids this stuff along with the regular sinking gold to give them a more rounded diet, and they eat it just as voraciously as they do the regular pellets. Good value.
