5Great with an Automatic FeederMay 23, 2012
By M. Hopper "<mike>"
I have a 29 gal tank with about 20 fish. I give them flakes from time to time (as a treat) or frozen blood worms) but I use the automatic feeder all the time. These micro pellets work great (the flakes don't). I guess it's the even size that makes feeding with these much more accurate. Beware of overfeeding! As someone else said, a little goes a long way so measure carefully until you know how your fish will eat in 2-3 minutes--then stick to that ammount.

5Mikey likes it!Jun 03, 2011

I have a Betta at work and a Goldfish and a Molly at home; this has been the perfect thing for both setups. Fish go for it right away.

Benefits:
- Fish actually eat ALL of it - a little goes a long way
- Stays floating at the surface until top-feeders get to it
- Since it doesn't go to waste, you won't have to clean your tank/filter as often

Tip: If you use the prescribed amount, you'll get the same value for your money as you do with lower-end stuff. Transfer the envelope to a salt shaker and you'll get a predictable serving with no spills or over-pours when you feed your fish.

5Perfect food for small fishMay 23, 2012

This product is simply superb. All my fish are eating those pellets like crazy. The water stays clean even if I over feed a bit.

5Excellent Fish Food. My cat even likes it!Mar 18, 2012

This is really good fish food. The micro pellets are better for fish with smaller mouths. They also float for quite some time on the surface instead of sinking directly to the bottom. In my aquarium I have a lot of neon and glowlight tetras that mainly stay towards the bottom of the tank. The larger fish stay mainly in the upper end. The larger fish grab food from the surface and while they are feeding the rest starts to fall toward the bottom giving the small fish time to gobble it up. My one cat goes crazy every time I open the bag to feed the fish. I don't give her any, but she has been wanting some ever since the first bag was opened.

In order to consistently feed the same amount to your fish I suggest purchasing special measuring spoons similar to this product sold on Amazon.

Norpro 3080 Mini Measuring Spoons, 5 Piece Set

Using one of these spoons you know that your feeding the same amount each time. I usually use a hint, but that will depend on your particular tank. Also, you may consider feeding fish on an every other day schedule. They might live longer and it will keep your tank from building up nitrates too quickly.

5They love itFeb 08, 2012

My fish are all floating pigs (Mollies, Danios and Swordtails), but this one even gets the bottom feeders excited. They pick up what makes it to the bottom. It doesn't cloud the water, and it isn't Tetra. I've read numerous warnings about Tetra causing a lot of waste. This product doesn't seem to muck up the tank. Love it so far.
