5Bubblessssssss!Oct 03, 2011
By Brook Cobaugh
This flexible air stone works great for my setup. I have a 55 gal. long freshwater planted aquarium. The bubbles are tiny and the entire length of the hose bubbles... when connected to a powerful air pump. I tried placing a smaller air pump on either side and they quickly burnt out. I noticed that when I turn off the air pump during the day (so my plants can breathe their CO2) the hose becomes waterlogged and the air pump has to work extra hard to force that water out before it starts it's bubbling, that may be the reason for the smaller air pumps burning out. As such, this hose would probably be better for a 24/7 bubbling solution.

It looks great as a bubble wall curtain in the back of the aquarium though!

My apologies to this company for first giving them a bad review because the product had a defect. Word to the wise always try and work it out first before you review.

I am giving a high rating because they took care of the problem and sent a new airstone out to me. I once again apologize for my first review which was an unfair one.

5Works great with my eco air!Jul 28, 2010
By Bean Slap
I'm using this for an aeroponic system and hydroponic deep water culture system and find that it works well! I have four of these hooked up to my eco air four outlet pump and they are working good so far!

2Handle carefullyApr 28, 2010

Works ok as long as handled very carefully. The end connections are just cheaply glued on. I purchased 2 of these and both the ends came off. If you just need to connect and forget about it, then you'll be fine. If like me you have to move and re-connect fairly often (about monthly), I suggest finding something else.

2Where's the bubbles?Mar 07, 2011

Keep in mind that I am an amateur freshwater aquarium enthusiast, I purchased this for my 55 gallon aquarium because I wanted an air curtain towards the back of the aquarium. I have a Maxis 2.5 psi air pump and the only thing it is running air to is this flexible air stone. It barely puts out any bubbles and as another reviewer stated, you have to be very careful with the end connectors or they will come loose on you. One end did on me but I twisted and manipulated it enough where it stopped leaking at one end. And why are there connectors on each end? I had to put a valve on one end so I could stop the air flow. I'll be pitching this and going with an air stone or two instead.
