Well, you can hardly complain about the product when you have no other options available to you :) Anyways, I have to replace the impeller about once a year and it is imperative that after you take the pump apart you clean it thoroughly before re-installing the new impeller otherwise, any debris that is left behind could shorten the lifespan significantly. I wish they would use a slightly harder more durable plastic on the actual blades of the impeller and the main shaft since that seems to be the part that brakes most often...until then, $20.00 a year to keep the pond up and running!

I got this impeller 2 days faster than I expected and was exactly what I needed. I have saved money on new pumps by replacing this impeller when they wear or break from large debris.
