If you have a dog who is an enthusiastic chewer or who's particularly creative or devoted to the way that s/he destroys toys, this frog might stand a chance in your household where others have met a quick and ugly death. We have a year-old bull terrier puppy so we've got a combo of all of those things plus strong jaws and teeth. This little guy actually squeaked for three days, which is a record with her. Squeaky tennis balls usually stop squeaking within 15 minutes, she just blows them out; other squeaky toys get the squeaker pulled out or crushed in a similar, methodical fashion. Even though it isn't quite as exciting now that it doesn't scream in pain every time she chomps it, she still loves playing with it and she's barely been able to puncture it. It looks like she may have been able to chew off a tiny piece of rubber from one of the feet, but compared to what usually happens to toys around here, that's amazing. She likes the way it bounces around in random ways if we're playing fetch with it and will even play with it by herself, hitting it with her nose or dropping it to bounce it so she can chase it. I'm sold, and I'm ordering a couple more of these.
I will warn you, when it's brand new, the squeaker is LOUD and obnoxious - it sounded kind of like a wailing baby to me and it's sort of a two-way squeaker so you get noise as the dog squeezes the air out and again as the toy fills back up with air. Whee, two for the price of one! But if you have read this far, you probably have a dog like mine and obnoxious is a relative term (as are durable and long-lasting). The antics she performs with this thing (especially when the squeaker's still working) are so much fun to watch that it is well worth the noise in my book.

It still squeaks after a week of supervised play because it would drive me nuts if they squeaked it all day, it is very loud but they love it. Amazing to me I have 4 dogs, 1 german shepherd, 1 pitbull and 2 rat terriers so u can imagine the amount of toys destroyed and skinned. They killed all 3 kong squeak balls is less than 10 minutes, ripped the kong frisbee in half, any weakness is exploited immediately nothing has survived long. Very aggressive chewers and only the frogs feet are missing for now. I know how hard it is to buy toys for large aggressive chewers when you feel like its not worth the money for less than an hour of play but this is a keeper. Very impressed, I will definitely buy more.

Amazing for Tough ChewersDec 17, 2010
This is the only chew/squeak toy that my dog cannot destroy. I have bought other products from this brand, but this particular toy is the only one that is indestructible. The squeak is kind of annoying at first, but you get used to it after awhile. My dog carries this toy around like it is his child haha. Great toy!

I got both this one and the elephant. adorable but they are only about 2" in diameter, not the 4.5" claimed. way too small for my dog but I'll give it away to someone will a smaller dog. seriously loud squeak!

My dog samson is a pit mix. HE is about a year old. He was a stray someone dumped and he came up to the house. He destroyed every toy I bought him, and burried every bone. I found this frog toy I bought 2 one green one blue and let me tell you he LOVES the green one He carried it every where he went, even slept with it. He took such good care of it. Well the green one came up missing two days ago. So we gave him the blue one last night. GONE.... We have come to the conclusion that one of the local dogs in the area took BOTH....So I just ordered two more... Best dog toy EVER
