52 Newfie Paws Up!Dec 16, 2010
By YorkvilleNewfie
So far, my 8 month old, 105 pound Newfoundland puppy is a master destroyer of all things, including all of the supposedly indestructable toys like the Kong Extreme (BTW; it is NOT indestructable). She's had this for 6 months and I just had to lay it to rest yesterday and order a new one. Maybe 6 months doesn't sound like a lot to other people, but to me, it's borderline miraculous. I will say though, it only lasted this long because she saves her concentrated chewing for her rubber and plastic toys, which she pretty effectively annihilates on a regular basis. This she merely carries around, fetches and tugs...and it is a product that I would highly recommend and it's a toy she would definitely miss if it were never replaced. Another good thing about it is that it floats. For a Newfie, that's a very good feature to have. Also, for all her chewing and tugging and dunking it in water, it squeeked until it's final days :)

To address any preceding or proceding reviewers bemoaning the fact that their dog chewed this to pieces, let me just say that This. Is. Not. A. Chew. Toy. It says so in the product description. This is a "tug and toss" toy. Of course your Pitbull or GSD (or whatever) ripped it to shreds after chewing on it for 10 minutes, because that is not what this product was meant for. It's longevity depends more on your dog's personal chewing habits than anything else. If your dog doesn't like to tug or play fetch with it's toys and just immediately goes to town trying to destroy whatever toy is given to it, this toy will be ruined. That doesn't mean that this is a bad toy, it simply means that this isn't a chew toy.

Also, there is no such thing as an indestructible dog toy. My Newf chews on the fire hydrant in front of our house and it's no worse for the wear. If you're looking for indesructible, I'd recommend a fire hydrant.

5The Tugga Wubba!Jan 16, 2011
By J.Smithsonian
My dog absolutely adores this product. The Tugga Wubba is very STRONG and durable! Something much needed for chewers like my Labrador retriever! It has a great (not too loud) squeaker and fun to play with. Just make sure the size is right for your dog's size!

1No love for Wubba.Feb 11, 2011
By Ima Fann "mac guy"
My 7 month old puppy, like most puppies, loves to chew stuff. She goes through Walmart dog toys in no time, so I thought I'd spend a little more and buy a Kong product. Fifteen minutes after giving her the toy, she had torn through the "reinforced" nylon and started chewing up the plastic (not rubber) cylinder inside. This is definitely not a "chew-proof" toy as the product tags suggest. I took it away from her, much to her disapproval, because I didn't want her to swallow the squeaker and plastic pieces she was tearing off. If you are expecting this toy to last like the more durable rubber Kong toys, you'll probably be disappointed... like Indy was. $10 in the trash.

5great toyMay 17, 2011
By Amanda Robinson
My dogs love the Kong Wubbas, and I like them because they are the only squeak toys that my dogs haven't destroyed.

I got this so that could tug with each other, and so far (about 2 months), it's held up well with two german shepherds going at it.

We finally had to retire our Kong Wubba Dog Toy, Extra Large after the dogs chewed the top hard ball section to bits, and fabric holding it in was wearing thin. That toy lasted several years and is a great toy as well.

5Sturdy & Long LastingJan 27, 2011
By Michelle Struble
I have 3 Labs that in the past have destroyed any toy made w/ fabric in a matter of minutes. This one has held on for over a month. The only part to have been chewed off is one of the tassels. I'm very impressed w/ this toy and would definitely buy another.
