INCREDIBLE DOG TOY...New and ImprovedApr 29, 2010
By D. Simon
"Serious Reader"
KONG has reinvented the older version of this toy that a few reviewers are referencing that broke on them. It NO longer has a weakness in the throwing stick. My dog is completely obssessed with it and it is super tough now. It's also MUCH easier to load than the original version. Loads with a simple pressing motion (snap fit). My dogs play with this incessantly. It has replaced their Chuck-it toy as it is a much more fun game for small dogs and big dogs. The ring rolls across the ground like a squirrel. Makes dogs go bananas over it! TONS OF FUN!!!

Bring Back the Yellow Zinger Rings! They cheapened the qualityMay 10, 2011
By dlissick As with most of the other reviews my German Shorthair pointer absolutely loves chasing the bouncing Zinger Ring. And I love the challenge of throwing it.
My first ring replacement pack consisted of the solid Yellow colored rings. These Yellow rings were also used for tug-of-war occasionally in-between throws.
I was completely impressed at how well the Yellow rings handled the tug-of-war: NO PROBLEM. I could even pick up my 40+ lb dog using just the ring -if it got that far - I usually let the dog win - but once in a while I would "hang on" hard to the yellow ring just to see what would happen... the Yellow rings seemed bullet proof.
But, as all good toys go, they get lost or "acquired" by other dogs at the dog park. So, I ordered more replacement rings and what do we get? The speckled BLUE, hard to see in the grass rings. Well, color wasn't the biggest issue: the two BLUE replacement rings both broke on the first day of use.
The first Blue ring immediately broke "in-HALF" after on the first "tug-of-war" game after only a few throws.
The second Blue ring developed a break after an hour of play (no tug-of-war this time) Which made it basically USELESS for throwing, rolling and bouncing.
BOTTOM LINE: Someone at KONG Listen UP! You obviously changed the rubber formulation from the older Yellow Rings. Please stop this because you have an awesome product!!! BUT the "KONG Strength" of the RING was/is a critical part of the Zinger launcher system. The rings need to handle lots of abuse = and the Yellow rings did. I can't get myself to order any more Zinger Rings until I know they will fix this "oversight." thanks for listening KONG!!!

What a dudDec 13, 2011
By bjbeagle Zinger is easy to use and works well while it lasts but.....After three throws the rubber ring broke making it useless. What a surprise to find that the ring is thin and hollow when I had assumed it would be solid rubber to give it some strength to resist hard bounces and dog's retrieval. Only good point out of all this is that I paid far less on Amazon that I could have paid for it in the shops so I have reduced my loss. My advice - steer well clear of this dud.

Kong Zinger - disappointing productNov 29, 2011
By Cathy I thought being a Kong brand product it would be tuff but my dog destroyed the ring in a few minutes. A waste of money for sure.

No tug of warSep 27, 2011
By Marge B The dog loves it..good bounce for an active lab/heeler mix..BUT giving it up can be a challenge. The donut is not up to pulling..teeth go right through it. Be careful.
