Your rabbit is not a hamsterAug 09, 2011
By Amanda Any rabbit food with seeds should be avoided at all costs. Rabbits have very specialized gi tracts that have more similarities to a horse than say a hamster or gerbil. The most important element of a rabbit's diet is unlimited hay, preferablly timothy for older bunnies. This is also vital to a bunny's health since, unlike cats, they are unable to cough up any furballs that may form from hair swallowed during grooming. The hay helps to push the hair and other obstructions along the gi tract. Pellets shouldn't be the bun's only source of hay and should never have seeds or corn.

If you care about your bunny, don't buy.Oct 24, 2011
By Blink Kaytee brand pellets are a perfect example of what NOT to feed your pet bunny. The seeds and other stuff they put in it are VERY BAD for rabbits! They also put animal by-products in their pellets, which is very unhealthy for bunnies as they are naturally vegan.
I use Oxbow Bunny Basic T, though I think it might have a new name now. It's timothy-based which is great for your rabbit! The majority of my bunnies' food is organic vegetables. I only give them 1/4 cup of pellets a day and two cups of vegetables (I determine this based on their weight, so this might not be enough for your bunny). Not all vegetables are good for your bunny, so do your research! The House Rabbit Society is an excellent source to look into!
I used to feed my bunnies crap like Kaytee pellets and hay, and they constantly had messed up tummies, and I didn't know what I was doing wrong until I did research and realized that bunnies had a much more complex diet than I thought. You can't just dump some cheap pellets in their bowl and hope for the best. Ever since I've changed their diet, they've been happier and healthier and LOVE their vegetables and new pellets. I also buy Oxbow timothy hay too, and they love it too.
Don't be an irresponsible bunny owner! Research their diet and how to care for them!!! Again, look at the House Rabbit Society's website!

Our rabbit LOVES this mixDec 07, 2010

Have tried several varieties of rabbit food, this is the one that out rabbit gets excited about. Has LOTS of interesting bits of fruit and dried carrots and assorted seeds, while many other brands/varieties have only a little sprinkling of "extras" in among the ordinary pellet type food. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that at the moment it's showing a price of $14.49 for a 4.5 lb bag. The same bag goes for $9.99 in our local pet store.

Rabbit Love It!May 01, 2012

My rabbit loves this fiesta style rabbit food. He's gotten so spoiled, that he eats everything except for the alphalpha "nuggets" and the corn kernels. He loves all of the other little pieces though. It's fine though. We feed the rabbit fresh cabbage a lot too and some other things, so he enjoyes picking through this and getting his favorite pieces. He will even take the bowl in his mouth and shake it up to bring some of his favorite flavors to the top of the bowl. Too funny.

Nice BreakfastJan 08, 2012
By L. Merriam My rabbit really enjoys this food... I only feed her a 1/4 cup per day because she also gets unlimited hay and daily fresh veggies so this make a nice morning breakfast.
