Come my chinchilla's bath time, I cannot imagine it without using this superior product as most chin insiders will state. It is very soft, very fine and chinchillas love it.
And it is safe. Many dusts sold for chinchillas are not. They are scented (not natural for a chin) and simply made of outdoor sand. The best chin dusts are made of ground pumice stone.
This particular chin dust comes highly recommended by long-time chin owners like myself who have been caring for these delightful crepuscular rodents coming on 18 years now. My chin, Danny Boy, loves it (see my Profile for a glimpse of him) and has a marvelous time rolling around in it. Inside a good plastic chin bath house, it doesn't fly around everywhere, and it is easy to maintain and store.
I cannot imagine using any other chinchilla dust. In fact, it will never happen!

My chinchilla loves this stuff. It came with very high recommendations, and as I've never tried another brand, I have nothing to compare it to. Aside from my inexperience with other products, this product is a treat for my chinchilla. He gets into it immediately when I put it out for him and sometimes it's hard to get him out! It keeps his coat looking great, and he seems to love it, so I'd say it's a good buy.

We switched to this chinchilla bathing dust a year ago because it costs cheaper than Kaytee. Their performance and cleaning ability are about the same.
After we switched using it, our chinchilla sneezed every time after the bath. Initially, we thought the problem was fine dust and we were not aware the problem. One year later, our chinchilla passed away in 24 hour all in a sudden. The vet said that the chinchilla had some problem to breath, and the problem may come from the fine bathing dust (i.e., Dust accumulated inside the breath system).
Notice that I have no proof to show the connection between the death of our chinchilla and this bathing dust. This is just based on our personal experience only.
If I can choose again, I definitely won't risk my chinchilla because of a cheaper bathing dust.
