The best algae removal product I have usedMay 04, 2010
By Erin This magnet works. Unlike scrub sponges, your arm stays dry. The surface of the magnet that goes inside the aquarium is rough enough to actually take the algae off the glass. Unlike another brand of algae magnet that I've used, it floats, so you don't have to tie a string to it. If you haven't used magnets before, keep in mind that there will be places in your aquarium that a magnet may not be able to reach or you may have to move things around to get there (i.e. around the filter and heater). If your aquarium's close to the wall, getting to the back of the aqarium gets tricky too. A yardstick helps. Whatever you do, please don't buy this product for an acrylic aquarium. It's meant only for glass like it says in the title. The manufacturer makes one for acrylic. I can't review that one since I've never had acrylic, but make sure you're getting the right kind for your tank.

Great Cleaner for AquariumMay 27, 2008

This is a great little item for fish tanks either fresh or saltwater tanks just place magnet on tank glass and swish film away. It is amazing the first time you use it It seems like the glass is clean but when you make your first swipe across the glass you will notice that there is actually a small film on the glass underneat where you just wipe Amazing have one for all 9 tanks in house. Have both for Glass or Ayriclic tanks Such a simple Idea Wish I thought of such a handy device

I love this cleaner!!Nov 23, 2004
By Lani Caraway Why didn't I think of this?? This magent cleaner works amazingly well and I don't soak my sleeves using it! It's only mildly invasive so it doesn't frighten my fish as much as the squeegee-type cleaners. Obviously you have to manually place it to go around corners, but that's really no big deal when you consider that you can do so above water. I love this cleaner and highly recommend it to anyone!

Works great, keeps hands dry!Mar 19, 2012

This has been one of the best inventions in the aquarium industry in years! I love not having to stick my hands into my fish tank to clean the inside of the glass. This allows me to clean my glass daily so I can see my fish unobstructed by the film that gathers on the glass!
Just be careful if you have sand in the tank and sand gets trapped between the mag float and the glass it will scratch the glass.
