Description:

The Marina 2-in-1 Fish Hatchery is ideal to breed and raise fish in community aquariums. You first place your pregnant fish on the inside, where the slotted bottom partition will allow newly-born fry to fall through and away from mother to the safety of the bottom chamber. By placing in the center divider, two pregnant fish can be kept at once. The Marina 2-in-1 can also double as a safe-house for wounded fish or to segregate aggressive fish. It is the perfect way to get your school of fish growing!

Anyways I put my 2 froggies in the hatchery w/there dinner & Yay!!!...no one starves!!! I tried everything to keep these worn stealin guppies... from fish dividers & the little guppies squeeze throught it! also...can reused this hatchery when my girl guppies start popping the frys! and last note: I went to petco to investigate this item before I bought from amazon & check out the" Marina hatchery and their price was $18.99!!! Wow I got a better price from Amazon!!!!Thank you Amazon.....you made my froggies & I Happy!!

5It works...Jan 10, 2012

I had the suction cup variety previously and I still use them when needed (for isolation) in the larger tanks, but I use this one in more confined spaces... as I always seem to need to move the boxes around to catch a hyper-fish or reposition something that has fallen over... besides, there is not much current in the smaller tanks that they require stationary breeders.

3Good but should have some improvementAug 24, 2011

I was a serious hobbyist that used to have 9 tanks and a pond about 10 years ago. Now down to 4 tanks only. I have one of this before and love it and use all the time for betta, sick, injure, new fish that wait to settle. It work as Hatchery for guppy, small platy or moon fish, but feel that too small/shallow for molly of bigger livebearers. If your spiceman is big, then baby fish may be also too big and can not go thru the gap to the bottom. I hope it will come with a cover like the smaller version does, but it is durable and useful and must have for any reason.
