Excellent for Guinea PigsJul 11, 2009

I have been searching high and low for a cage like this that I wouldn't have to completely assemble myself. Other cages you have to cut, fold, cut, tie together all the grids, ect. This was easy, though tedious, to put together and it works very well for my little piggy. He loves all the extra room and my husband even thinks we should get another cage to attach it together. :)

A Great BuyMar 16, 2010

You can't find many cheap guinea pig cages around, or atleast decent sized ones at that. This cage is perfect for my guinea pigs! They have a lot of extra room to run around and chase each other even with their giant igloo hideout house being in there.
I was unaware that the bottom of the cage was actually canvas, but I should have read through the info better. Other than the annoying velcro straps that connect to the wires of the cage, it's pretty easy to clean. I lined it with 'puppy training pads' first and then put some bedding down. I wouldn't recommend laying bedding down directly on the canvas bottom. Also, the outter cage itself is a little bit flimsy, but not a problem since their cage stays in one spot most of the time. The cage does not come with a topper, but the sides are so tall, so it's not a problem. Unless you have sneaky guinea pigs like me, who jump on top of the igloo, and then try to jump out of the cage, I wouldn't make it a concern to buy one.
Overall, I would say this is the best buy you can get if you're looking for a decent sized guinea pig cage without paying out the you know what! My first guinea pig cage was about half the size of this one and I paid almost 80 dollars for it. After searching all over the internet and at pet stores, this is definitely the best guinea pig cage I've ever came across. =]
