Great brush, small price!Mar 28, 2009
By Charley Grant I really love this brush. It is inexpensive and yet does a great job without hurting the dog (or my fingertips!). I had bought one at a show; promptly lost it and was delighted to replace it so quickly.

MY DOG GROOMER USES THIS BRUSH. NOW I KNOW WHY!Jul 11, 2010
By Elaine L. (Upstate NY) My dog groomer uses this slicker brush. Now that I've bought one to use on my two Bichons between grooming appointments, I know why. It's an excellent brush. The oblong shape does a much better job than the roundish one I was previously using, and the weight and feel of the brush makes it very easy to handle. The whole process of brushing out my two dogs just got easier, and they look better too. I highly recommend this slicker brush. Can no long imagine using anything else!

Amazing brush!!Mar 05, 2012
By RenB510 This brush is divine! I have a poodle mix and he has very curly, thick, coarse hair. I used another slicker brush and it kept getting caught in his fur, so I was never able to brush in long strokes. I dreaded brushing his hair after baths for this reason. I read reviews for this brush and decided to give it a try. AAAAMMMMMAAAAZZZZZZINNNG! I can brush his fur quickly and smoothly and the dog actually likes it! This brush will save his hair from ever getting matted. Would buy this brush over and over and over again.

Great Slicker BrushDec 15, 2009
By S. Spruill I groom my two miniature schnauzers and brush them regularly. After having purchased several slicker brushes, this is my all time favorite.

Gentle Brush for Breaking up MatsMay 10, 2012
By Barbara K I favor long-coated breeds and this slicker brush is the best one I've found for them! Mine has lasted quite a while and shows no signs of wear and tear at all! Used properly, this soft slicker is a good all-purpose brush for breaking up mats, removing dead hair and gently stimulating the skin. I especially like this one because it's well-made and light-weight in addition to being reasonably priced.
I have 2 Havanese with long silky hair. You can use a slicker on any coat but a soft slicker like this is the only one which should be used on Havanese or any other dogs with long soft coats. I also use it for my long-haired cat.
This is great for removing burrs from the coat. Burrs can be a big problem for long coated dogs. If they remain in the coat, they can be very uncomfortable for your dog and more and more hair can tangle around them making them even tougher to remove. You'll need your soft slicker brush, your combination comb, your fine tooth comb and quite a bit of patience. If your dog is covered with teensy little burrs, they can be removed very easily by brushing lightly with your slicker. Never bathe a dog without removing the burrs first, or you'll have even more problems removing them.
