 Excellent pump, nice and quietFeb 27, 2012

I had searched long and hard for a quiet pump. And sent back 4 other pumps I bought as they sounded like gravel trucks. This one is nice and quiet as I do bodywork and massage and I don't want to hear my pump. I highly recommend it and the price is very affordable.

Purchased this unit as it was a direct replacement for the original unit. This was used in a small desktop fountain and I had to use the built-in flow control to reduce the amount of water flowing in my particular rock scape fountain.

Although this pump can be used for numerous applications, I used it to replace the stock pump in the JBJ Nano Cube 12 gallon aquarium. The stock pump ran slightly louder and produced some heat (adding a few degrees to my water temp). Plus, I decided to use my nano cube for freshwater and needed to reduce the current in there because all my fish were getting pushed around. The install was pretty straight forward. I really like the adjustable flow lever and how quiet it runs. It's been running in my tank for a few days so I can't comment on the durability but it seems pretty well made. Reviews on other sites would confirm that most users like it as well. So far so good, I recommend this product.
