Awesome LeashJan 19, 2011
By Carl D. I picked up one of these leashes (blue) at my local Big Lots a few months ago. In the past 2 years I've switched dog leashes 4 times and this one is by far my favorite. No other leashes have all of the benefits that I've found this one does.
This leash : -stitched on reflective material that does not flake off or wear down very easily. -The braided style gives a very strong leash that is comfortable to old and gives a good feel for walking dogs. -Its light, other braided leashes I've tried are very heavy.
I really have enjoyed using this leash, my only complaint is that my dog has broken the plastic hardware on the leash. Though its stitched together, I feel that a leash for big dogs should be able to stand up to their jaws, and chewing habits.

Bright, but big and heavyNov 18, 2010
By jj1980 5/8" x 6 ft. Reflective Nite Brite Leash
Pros: - Extremely reflective to light - Tough enough for a dog over 100+ lbs. - Length is great at 6 ft.
Cons: - Buckle that attaches to harness/leash is huge and heavy for any dog under 65+ lbs. Drags the harness down to the side of the dogs body. (i.e. I have a 30lb. beagle mix) - Leash is wrapped around material similar to rope (difficult to wash and dry). May smell if not fully dried. - Leash in general is heavy
I wouldn't buy this again for my dog since it's too big, bulky, and heavy for him.

Great heavy duty leash for big dogs!Dec 19, 2010
By Jeanne My vet talked me into doing away with the flexi-leashes saying dogs would be more obedient in all things if I quit using them. I was skeptical but bought this leash as it looked heavy duty enough for walking my two big dogs. It has really worked! Not giving them free reign on our walks has made a huge difference in their behavior.
I walk them together on this one leash and it is heavy duty enough that I don't worry about the two of them breaking it. It also glows in the dark so those early evening walks are safer for all of us. I highly recommend this leash and give it two thumbs up!
Nite Brite Reflective Leash - A ReviewApr 06, 2012
By Danielle The quality of the leash leaves a bit to be desired. I have purchased a leash similar to this at Wal-Mart for about $4 cheaper and much better quality, especially in the handle/clamp area. The use of the plastic clamp is not advisable and makes it not only look cheap, but also feel and actually be cheaper in quality. I would have bought more leashes from Wal-Mart had they not been sold out, and the reflective parts of the leash I did have were coming loose and some had fallen out due to my puppy chewing on it.
However, it's a decent leash. It works like a leash should, except for that darn cheap plastic clamp has risen up about an inch, making the handle loop smaller. My husband cannot fit his hand into the handle now. I can, but that is only because I have tiny hands. There is no way to push the clamp back down either, which is annoying. This only makes the quality of this leash look even less. Now all can see the craftsmanship of this leash and I'm almost positive the plastic clamp was designed to hide it; it is not appealing to any eye when you can see the threads and the cut off end of the leash that is used to create the handle loop.
Overall, I give this product a rating of 3 stars because "It's ok". The actual leash works fine, for now. I do worry about the longevity of the leash. The only thing in terms of design that needs to be improved upon is that pesky plastic clamp and handle issue that I outlined above.
very sturdyMar 28, 2012
By zak This is one of the most durable leashes i have used. I've bought two of them, one for each of my dogs, and it's one of the only leashes (besides a metal one) that they haven't chewed through! It feels nice in your hand and gives you a sense of control because of the strength and thickness. The reflective aspect is nice as well, it definitely works. I walk the dogs at night and can see the reflection every time lights hit the leash. Overall, one of the best leashes i've owned next to the "Ezydog Cujo" leash.
