If I could speak dog, I'd ask my dogs why they prefer a hard hunk of flavored plastic over a softer flavored chew bone. But I don't and can't, so all I can say it that my dogs (100-lbs & 50-lbs) think that the Souper Nylabones (Liver & Chicken) are super. This $6.90 is a great price compared to our local pet store.

GREAT sturdy bone for your dogs to chew! I have 4 dogs and they love these bones and these bones last for 6 mos or more till they are so whittled down! They love laying and chewing these bones. Little River Pet shop has quick service also!

Our dog Chewbacca is a high energy hound mix and is just over a year old. I would say she is a moderate chewer and she loves these bones. We have all of the various flavors but she seems to prefer the original flavor when given the option. That said she routinely chews on all the flavors if they are left out for her. As she chews small pieces of the bone come off but they are usually the size of a piece of rice or smaller. My wife regularly checks the bone as Chewbacca chews on them to make sure no larger pieces are breaking off and we have not found any so far.
Chewbacca seems less interested in brand new bones, but once she chews into them a bit she becomes more interested. It may be that the flavor doesn't come out until the surface has been roughed up a bit. As she chews the end gets a bit rough and we have seen small amounts of blood on the end of the bone a couple times but its small and rare enough that we are not concerned by it.
Since these bones are basically solid plastic they do not get slimy or gunky from chewing. They dry quickly and are totally odor free.
We've had three of these bones for about 6 months now and rotate through them regularly. None of the bones is more than 25% chewed.
Final Thoughts:
We have three of these now and will be ordering more.

We love Nylabone products, they seem to last forever and my English Bulldog loves to chew! The large bones are especially satisfying to him... Odie loves the Chicken and Liver flavors. ENJOY!
