Kinder than FurminatorJan 13, 2011
By Humdog I was getting ready to buy another Furminator to replace the one my Yorkie-Chon has apparently hidden, when I saw this. I decided to give it a try since the "teeth" are rounded instead pointy, and I'm suspicious the Furminator disappeared because my Yorkie-Chon hated the way it felt. I was very impressed with the way the Shedzilla worked. It got rid of a LOT of hair in a small amount of time, and seemed to detangle my dog a little better than the Furminator. I also think my Yorkie-Chon found it more tolerable. I still think the Furminator is a good product, but I like Shedzilla better!

Amazing..Nov 06, 2010
By spike I am a pet groomer, and this is the best home product I have seen. I have a foxhound and this product not only shed him quick but cleaned the dirt out of the coat as well. Didn't do as well on short coated animals including my cats. But I would recommend this product overwhelmingly!

Best Shed Solution YetNov 04, 2010
By SpinFan This thing really works. I bought it because the blades looked like they wouldn't irritate my dog's skin. The round blades run through her coat like butter and pull out mounds of fur. I showed it to my groomer and she said she's been using a shed rake this for years. You can use it to gently pull thru mats and tangles and I used it on my neighbors cat - which worked like a charm!

better than furminatorMar 07, 2011

"Dog Groomer"
I'm a groomer, and I had been using the furminator, until someone in my salon tried this out. This tool gets out more hair, and is safer to use. (And it's half the price of the furminator!) It is comparable to the Mars Coat King (nothing tops that IMHO) however, again, it is way cheaper than the coat king. I've used the other off brand coat king shedding/stripping tools and the teeth seem to be bent in just the wrong way so that they don't get much hair out. This tool works on a variety of coats and gets a ton of hair out. Love this tool!

WORTH THE $$$Aug 20, 2011
By B. Prutch While I was at WalMart today I decided to look for a cat brush. I considered buying one of the cheaper $3 brushes that were displayed then I ran across the Shedzilla for $8.37. First I saw the "as seen on TV" claim followed by "reduces shedding by 90%"...and to be honest, I wasn't sold. So..I immediately did a search for reviews of the item on my cell phone while standing right in the aisle. I found that almost everyone gave it 5 stars so I though I would try it out. As soon as I got home, I ripped the package open and tried it on one of my cats (the one who sheds the most). I was immediately impressed. It pulled so much fur off of my cat, not only did he look skinnier, I think I created another one. What I like about it is that it pulls the fur from underneath. I just wish that he would sit still long enough for me to keep doing it so I have to give him a break. It doesn't seem to be hurting him at all, he just gets annoyed pretty easily. I think the cat brush would work fine on a smaller dog otherwise you will be paying $19.98 for the dog brush which looked just a little wider than the cat one. Excellent buy if you have pets that shed a lot.
