My bunnies love this food!May 17, 2011

"Just breathe & relax."
This food was recommended to us by the North Georgia House Rabbit Society (They're a rabbit rescue). They've done their research on what foods are best for rabbits & this is it! Whenever it is time for my Rex & Dutch bunnies to eat; they are excited & will hop on over to the feeding area of their play pen to eat.
A reminder to ALL rabbit owners or possible future owners: Do NOT feed your bunny/rabbit anything with seeds. Rabbits' digestive system is closer to that of a horse & they need roughage (Timothy Hay) & greens to supplement their nutritional needs.

Healthy Food for RabbitsJan 03, 2012

My rabbit has been eating Oxbow rabbit food exclusively since before she was one. Now she's almost seven. It has a much higher fiber content than other foods I've seen.
I must admit she prefers "regular" rabbit food, just like a kid will prefer candy to vegetables. So I mix one part Hartz nuggets (her preference) with three or four parts of the Oxbow. It's like a bowl of Lucky Charms with the marshmallows, and she picks the "marshmallows" out first. But she eventually eats the rest. One reviewer was concerned with the possibility of GM soy. Well I don't know if it has any or not, but my rabbit is doing very well with this food.
I contacted Oxbow to inquire if it is advisable to freeze this food, as my rabbit is small and it make take some time to finish the bag. I was told that freezing is an acceptable practice for this product.

Genetically modified soy? YUCK!Aug 27, 2011
By earthmama I would never buy something that contains soy that is not specifically marked as organic or non-GMO because of the health and environmental consequences. Also, the added vitamins are worthless unless they are whole foods based, which they are NOT.
