 Outdoor Pet Safe Bark DeterrentSep 03, 2010
It works well for my dogs who were barking at the neighbors dog. I have two outdoor bark deterrents and would highly recommend them to others.

Our neighbors got a new dog, when they are gone they put the dog on a deck next to our bedroom. We put ths dog bark control out on our near deck. The first time it did not seem to work on the lowest, but my husband informed me it was on test, when we put it on the lowest setting, it took care of the barking. We are thrilled to have it work so well.

The PetSafe Ultrasonic Bark deterrent does not work for my dogs. We did everything the Bark deterrent said to do, we started on the low level and finally moved it up to the highest level of sound. My dog just stood by it and barked like mad and didn't phase him a bit.
I was hoping this would be the perfect trick, but Nope. No help from the Ultrasonic Bark deterrent.
I want my money back, I need to return it soon.

Two dogs live across the street, a large dog with a deep bark and a small yappy dog. This item has three settings, for 10 ft away, 20 ft, and 50 ft. I set it up about 5 feet away from where the dogs stand and bark and set it on the 10 ft setting, which supposedly reaches dogs to 10 ft away. No change. I set it to 20 ft, no change. I set it on 50 ft, figuring that it would really startle the dogs since they were only 5 ft away. The first time or two they backed away a couple of feet, but after that no change.

I have a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd. I bought this item to stop their barking fits. I nailed it to a tree at their ear level and set it at the highest setting. It did not work at all.
