 Fits only Marineland or Perfecto 10 gal AquariumsDec 27, 2011

This hood is really only for Marineland or Perfecto Aquariums.
Many tanks are NOT of those, mostly Allglass brand or rebranded.
The depth is 9 3/8", too small for many tanks.
If you have the right tank, it's a good fit.

This is an amazing hood, not only is it innovative in design, it has glass to protect the light housing from moisture, which was the reason I purchased it in the first place, to replace one that was damaged from water. It has pieces that can be cut on the back to customize it to anything you have on the back of your tank, I purchased it for a 20 gallon tank, but the size of it is the same as a 10 gallon tank, the light can be removed from the hood cover, I have one of these on my 29 gallon tank and love it. I will be ordering another one of these for my other 2-10 gallon tanks, it fits perfectly, and the lighting gives me a better view of my tank, and it is more appealing and less dark looking. Great product, great price and highly recommended.

Works well - I like the access with the front opening which allows the front of the aquarium to be completely open.
