Better than buying from pet store.Sep 08, 2011
By WOKZ I used this to Reseal a 55 Gallon long tank. I know that buying from the pet store will not allow me to reseal it completely due to the amount of silicone most commercial pet stores offer. Buying this is the same price,if not cheaper, of the overprice smaller tubes pet stores offer. Even after completely sealing my 55 gallon long tank, I still have about only less than 1/4 left. Plus it is easier with a caulking gun as you will need to work fast before it starts curing.
This stuff is very clear after curing like brand new silicone from today's fish tanks. But differs due to how well you prep your tanks.

Works greatSep 08, 2010
By Rey I used this to turn my bio ball sump into a refugium. It worked great. Is holding water well and is strong to the acrylic plastic I used it with. Also I have plenty left over and it came with a cap so I can save it for later, don't really see that much with a caulk style tub.

Aquarium SealantJul 03, 2010
By Steve Tramountanas I recently purchased a tube of Pefecto Silicone Aquarium Sealant 10.3 Oz. I have a 55 gallon tank that a friend gave to me. The inner silicone needed to be replaced. This was my first experience doing such a repair as I am new to the aquarium hobby. The product is very good and simple to use especially after I went to a local store and purchased a caulking gun, Big Duhhhhh!!!!! I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the stuff out at first, LOL, Big Duhhhhh!!! I finally realized that a caulking gun would help. I let it sit for about 2 days before filling it with water for a test and it did not leak at all. Now I'm ready to continue working on my new tank. Thanks, Steve T.
P.S. If you don't know how to reline the silicone, as I did not, you should find this Youtube video very helpful. It's how I learned to do it.

Birdbath caulkMay 19, 2012
By MrsDe I had a resin birdbath that started leaking because the caulk had pulled away just from exposure to the outside elements. Most of the caulks I checked into were NOT safe for birds, animals, or humans (folks it sure is worth the time to read the FINE print....read the warnings on bathtub caulk) and I needed one that would be ok to be submersed in water. After reading the other reviews, I chose this brand and it has not disappointed me in its performance. the fountain is up and running and NOT leaking! The only improvement I can see would be if the manufacturer would carry smaller tubes of it....what a waste.Marineland 31010 Silicone Caulker, 10-1/2-Ounce, 292-Gram
