4Helps keep the cage clean and cuts down on hay waste.Aug 04, 2011
By Kaia
When I first got this box, I thought, "Okay, it's a box. But she loves boxes." So I changed the hay (my bunny eats a particular kind of hay)and set it in her cage. She readily ate out of it and kind of played with the box. It didn't take to long for me to realize that the box was helping to keep the cage mess free. Previously, I kept her hay in a willow basket. She would dump the basket, eat what she wanted, and just spread the rest everywhere. I constantly had to sweep up old hay (she's litter trained). This box contains the hay and she can still eat it. She also plays and nibbles at the box. I wipe out her cage once a day, change her water once a day, and fill, change, or add to this box with fresh hay (I change her litter as needed). This simple little box has really cut down on my clean time, cut down on hay waste, and also cut way down on the problem of rogue pieces of hay getting out of the cage and spreading around the house. It is totally worth the money. I love it. As soon as she chews this one down, I will surely order another.

5Rabbits love thisDec 09, 2009

This is my second one - my rabbits eventually chewed too much off the first one for it to work. I stuff it with hay and they eat it out of it.

1Not for Rex Bunnies!May 27, 2012
By Kristine M. Curtis "needlegrrl"
I purchased this today and put it in the cage with my rabbit. Then I was called away for 4+hours unexpectedly

When I came home, I immediately checked on the rabbit, and his head was stuck in one of the holes, and he could not get it out because of his ears! He had obviously run around the cage with it, trying to get it off - all of the hay had been shaken out of it.

I do not recommend this for bunnies AT ALL, but especially not Rex bunnies. At least not without supervision at all times.

2Not too impressedMar 17, 2010

I am a teacher and we have a rabbit as a classroom pet.I thought it would be fun watching the rabbit get the hay from the tumbler, but no. It's a piece of cardboard and the rabbit simply eats the hay out of it.Didn't promote excercise or fun.
