The leash is adjustable length. The nylon and the metal trigger clips are great quality and the lead is a great length for letting a ferret wander, but I had several problems with the harness. The plastic fastening clips really require both hands in order unclip them: they don't squeeze apart the way most ferret harnesses do. The mechanism is a push-clip that has to be pushed DOWN (toward the ferret's body) and then pulled out at an angle, usually with at least one finger under the harness. The clips are pretty stiff, and it can be a real ordeal if the ferret is being fussy. I had to work the clips on an empty harness for a while to figure out the best angle to disconnect them quickly and without hurting my ferrets or my fingers.
Also, the connector between the collar and the body piece is a metal trigger clip (which is not visible in the online photos). This is nice if you want a harness that will switch to being just a bell collar, but my boys hate the way the clip pokes them in the back. The clip on the back allows extra movement that causes the harness to slide and catch my ferrets' front legs. The extra movement also makes it harder to get the harness on a wiggling ferret.
All of the nylon pieces are attached to each other using glue and heat-press instead of actual stitching, which surprisingly did not make the harness stiff at all. Nice flexibility, and my ferrets were not able to unclip the harness by rubbing against walls, but I couldn't unclip the harness very easily when they got stuck, either. I do not recommend this one for new ferret owners or impatient ferrets.

I just put this on my little guy, and it fits perfectly and does exactly what I wanted it to do. The quality is good, and in spite of another reviewers difficulty with the snaps, mine are VERY simple and easy to apply. Overall, I think I have found my new favorite harness. He doesnt seem to mind it much either, but every ferret is different.

Overall I am very happy with this collar/harness combo. The clip works where it counts, which is releasing when my ferret is stuck on something. The collar clip does require a finger to be placed between the ferret and the clip in order to press and release it, but with a little practice you'll be a pro at this, and no one should have a collar on any animal that is so tight a finger cannot be placed under it anyways. As for the full harness set, you just have to keep an eye on it because they can wiggle around and get the connector between their front legs instead of on their back where it should be.
The nylon is just as durable as it is for any collar and the colors are great. I didn't bother with the little name tag since a big bell is enough to lug around, instead I got a little tag that rivets to the collar made and stitched it on, sadly the stitching broke and now it's lost somewhere in a hidey-hole... what can ya do.

I just received this item today and I'm quite pleased with it. Fits my little girl perfectly. It is a little stiff to adjust, but it just needs some breaking into. The quick release clasps are awesome. Especially for a squirmy ferret. It makes taking it off and on A LOT easier. It's a good quality fabric too, unlike some of the cheap ones I've owned in the past. This one doesn't seem like it would see wear and tear anytime soon. The collar fearture is nice because I let my girl run around the house, and I can hear her anywhere she is with the little jingle bell. :) And the name tag is adorable. I customized mine by painting her name on it with different colors and patterns.
Overall, this is an awesome item. Highly recommended if anyone is looking for a harness/leash/collar for their little fur baby!

It fit amazing on my ferrets, and the name tag is a nice touch. A little stiff to adjust, but I'm glad it even adjusted. Great item!
