 Decent timer for the moneyJun 07, 2010

I am using this on my reef tank for my lighting. As mentioned previously there are 2 day receptacles and 2 night receptacles. The timer alternates between the two ( one on ,one off). There are also 4 continuous power receptacles.I did not find the timer hard to program. There is a small replaceable battery in the back of the unit used for keeping the timer accurate if power is lost.
My only complain as with most power strips is that they allow only enough space between the receptacles for a common
plug and not a/c converters.
As to the one review about the timer not working. I had mine fail after about 3 weeks. However I simply called the
customer service number given on the instructions. They acknowledged that occasionally a unit has these problems and they sent me a whole new unit free of charge. No complaints here. The warranty is 12 months.

This timer sounds like a great idea, battery backup, controls daylights and nightlights on reef tank, great idea crappy product. This timer's battery backup dosent work, not sure if they sent it with dead watch style battery or what but it dosent work and it is screwing up timer itself. Had to completely remove battery to get timer to function. I have had it just over two weeks and had to reset this timer 5 times. Came back two days last week to a dark reef tank. Wouldnt buy this brand ever again.

this is a wonderful timer it works great. It is pretty time consuming to program, I suggest using the battery in case the power goes out and you have to program it all over again. Instructions are also helpful.

Like many of the previous 1 star ratings, one person stated that it's the same product with different names. I agree in that aspect. If you go to Home Depot, you can get it for $20, the same exact one. Except for the name R-Zilla on it. Unfortunately it's gonna be the same piece of crap this one is, only you can take it back immediately and not feel so raped.

Not what you are expecting, I promise. It is basically one timer. The 2 day outlets and 2 night outlets cannot be set independently of one another. Either the day timers can be on or the night. So if you don't use night lights for your reptiles and are getting this expecting to use it with more than one reptile you can just forget it. Secondly, it doesn't work. Set the blasted thing EXACTLY how the instructions say, it says its activated, but it doesn't turn on! Save your money and get a dual outlet brinks timer from wal-mart.
