WARNING!May 20, 2010

"Always into something"
I had one of these explode and short out in a sump once. Blew the top of the case apart and had burnt copper wiring exposed...not pretty. I did some reading and found that RIO had a few pumps known to do this. Personally I would NEVER own another one. I bought a mag drive 9.5 and it's been solid so far.

The Rio 1700 pump did not work. I returned it to the distributor who promptly sent me a Rio 2200 as replacement. The replacement works fine.
