Doesn't spillMar 22, 2011
By Joseph Larson This bowl is indeed a non-spill. My yellow Labrador retriever had taken to carrying his old bowl around, Snoopy style. When I'd first fill it, he'd look at it, eat a mouthful or less, then intentionally tip it over and carry the bowl around for a while, spreading food far and wide in the process. It was funny the first 3 times.
So I bought this bowl. End of that problem!
It only took him about a week to tear off the rubber ring around the base. The rubber is there primarily to keep the bowl from flying around the eating area reminiscent of a food-filled hockey puck. Conveniently, that's not a problem I have with my dog, so I can deal without the rubber ring. If your dog plays hockey with his bowl, you'll want to keep looking. But if you're just trying to prevent easy tipping over, this bowl is perfect.
I definitely prefer metal bowls for my dog. They are so much easier to clean. So for me, this bowl is nearly perfect. Now, if I could just find one similar to my old ones, with rubber glued onto the bottom, but in this shape so he can't tip it over.
Two small for a labMar 30, 2012
By Dewolf Arrived quickly but after using them I have decided they are too small for a lab...even a small lab so will be getting a larger set.
I think this would work for a smaller dog fine
The product does work though the rubber was off one of the units when it arrive so I had some fun getting it back on.
Dog BowlsMar 14, 2012
By Charlie b the dog bowls are very durable, I have a dog that likes to chew up bowls and she cant chew it up and it doesnt tip over. the only thing wrong with it is that it is pretty small, if you have medium size dog or bigger dont get this dish
non-skid rubber ring failsSep 13, 2009

"seeker"
While is was attracted to the stainless steel construction (I have foster dogs that occasionally are chewers). My disappointment comes from the rubber ring. It does not stand up very well, especially given the constant washing it went thru. I bought about 6 of these and the ring on 5 broke off.
Perhaps others who would use the product in a less rigorous environment would be satisfied.
