Good product.Dec 03, 2009
By C. Tien We purchased this brush because we had lost our old one during a move. It's built nicely and rids your pet (our 2 kitties) of their shedding fur. They hate being brushed, but we just can't stop because otherwise our house will be covered. Removing the fur from the brush has never been easier; just push the button and all the fur gathers at the top and you just put it in the trash. This little brush holds on to the fur and instead of letting it go flying all over the room like some other brushes do. Good little product. Well worth the money.

Better than the TV advertised oneJun 01, 2009

This is a top of the line item. They could not have made this thing any better and at half the price of the one advertised on TV. It works great. The cat loves this thing.

good and badApr 11, 2010
By Charles R. Bloom The quick release for getting the hair out is awesome - it works better than I hoped. However, there are too few tines and they are very long and sharp, which the cat does not enjoy. Hair brushes with more/denser tines work much better.

Love this brushOct 13, 2011

We have an 12 year-old Siamese-Tabby, super-sized cat. He's an attractive gray with medium length thick coat and as he's grown older it's become more important that we contribute to the upkeep of his appearance. [The vet tells us that as cats age their tongues don't work as well because they loose their cleaning bristles.]
We have a couple of these brushes already but it became necessary to purchase another because the children have 'misplaced' them. When this one arrived I was delighted to find that there is now an fur ejection mechanism as it works well and keeps me from having to pick the fur out from between the tines.
As far as comfort, Ling assures me that it feels good, even when used on his cheeky-fuffs. I, personally, like that this brush will let you collect a ton of hair before you have to stop and clean. I mention this because this time around we also purchased a "FURminator". Now a Furminator is very nice and I like it a lot, but it has some drawbacks. Besides the high price, if I use it on Ling during 'shedding season' I have to stop too frequently to clean out the hair. Not so with the Safari brush. I can get off a small handful of hair without having to stop.
THE SKINNY::: Great price for an excellent tool. My cat loves being groomed with it and I get off a ton of fur in a short period of time. It works on his long leg 'jodhpurs' and the shorter hair on the top of his head.

My cats love these!Jan 28, 2011
By Dave I have a couple of these brushes. My cats love them. And, interestingly, my cats did not like being brushed before I started using this model. So there really is something about this particular brush that my cats seem to enjoy.
The brush does a very good job of removing loose and dead hair. Cleaning up is extremely easy: just press the button, collect the hair, and deposit it in the garbage can.
As with any brush with thin needles, do be careful around your cat's nose, eyes, mouth, etc. If your cat is anything like mine, s/he'll be rubbing herself/himself all over the brush and it will require some care to ensure that the bristles don't wind up in the wrong spot!
Top-notch product.
