I have been using this product for several years in several different tanks. I have never had an issue with it. I put one half teaspoon in a five gallon bucket of water and the Ph is always 7.0. I then bring it down to 6.8 by adding acid buffer to it. If you do proper tank maintenance and keep your tank clean, this will work well for you. The only time I have had any kind of Ph issue is when I have neglected doing weekly water changes. This product will adjust and hold Ph.

I like the powder form. I use it for our outdoor 5,000 gal. pond w/ Koi fish and plants. Safe to all. Use this systematically and you will keep your fish at the optimal PH level to avoid sudden disasters that as you know- WILL happen to anyone. Trouble free. AND you cannot overdose. A must for pond owners.
